Today in American History – Thomas Edison

On November 21, 1877, Thomas Edison announced his invention of the first phonograph record  play and recorder in New Jersey.  While his was not the first invention to record sound, Edison’s phonograph was the first that also had the ability to play back the recorded sounds. Genealogy News – Families Reconnected

Another heart wrenching story of family tree research leading to the connection of two long-lost families.  During WWII, two brothers named Nahum and Yaakov Korenblum fled Poland during the Nazi invasion.  They ended up joining the army and were separated.  They both spent the rest of their livest trying to track each other down.
