Anna Pellerito was born on July 26, 1907. She was born in the home of her family located at 923 N. 7th Street in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the fourth child to parents Salvatore “Sam” Joseph Pellerito and Vita LoPiccolo.
In 1910, the family is renting a home at 934 North 7th Street, St Louis, Missouri, near the intersection of 7th street and Washington Street which the America’s Center Convention Center.
In 1920, the family lists their address as 935 7th Street which is most likely the same address as in 1910 and the street numbers have changed.
In 1924, Anna married Charles Scotino/Sciortino in St Louis, Missouri. Over the next ten years, they went on to have four sons together:
- Frank Scotino (b. 1925 – d. 2004)
- Salvatore “Sam” B. Scotino (b. 1927- d. 1987)
- Charles Salvatore Scotino (b. 1929 – d. 1975)
- Anthony Scotino (b. 1932 – d. 2004)
By 1930, the family is renting a home in a building at 809 Washington Street in St Louis, Missouri, which is now the Renaissance St. Louis Grand Hotel. There are many other Italian families living in the building with them.
By 1940, the family is now living at 815 Washington Street. In this census, we learn that the highest level of education that Anna has completed is the sixth grade. Also listed on this census are Anna’s parents and two siblings who are living in the same building.
On February 17, 2003, Anna passed away leaving behind generations of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was buried at Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri with her husband Charles.
