Grant Washington White was born on October 1, 1891 in Monmouth Springs, Arkansas. He was the only child born to parents Grant A White and Leana “Lela” Blackston.
Grant married Alice Mae McKee on August 13, 1914 at Williamsville, Wayne County, Missouri.

Together they had eight children together (All were born in Missouri):
In 1917, on Grant’s WWI draft registration card, it is listed that the family is living in Neelyville, Missouri. Grant lists his occupation as a farmer employed by A.J. Brewster. His physical appearance is described as follows: Tall, slender, blue eyes, brown hair, not bald and with no notable deformities or disabilities. The card also has him listed as being born in Williamsville, Missouri though this is not accurate and in fact the birth location of his wife instead.
In the 1920 census, the family is living in 829 Park Avenue in Poplar Bluff, Butler County, Missouri. Again, Grant’s place of birth is listed as Missouri even though this is not accurate. His occupation is listed as a farmer on a general farm.
In 1930, the family is living in Richland Township, Scott County, Missouri. As they are living on a farm, it is most likely that they have now purchased their own farm. Grant lists his occupation as a laborer on a farm.
On March 14, 1943, Grant died of stomach cancer at his residence in Catron, New Madrid County, Missouri. On March 18th, he was buried at Mounds Park Cemetery in Howardville, New Madrid County, Missouri. He is buried with his wife Alice.
