Following May’s death in 1930, John appears to have remained a widow and not remarried. I also appears that he lost touch with his children as well. When he died on May 9, 1952, he is a resident at the Cook County Hospital. The informant on his death certificate is from the hospital and does not have almost any information about him at all implying that there was no one with him at the time of death nor for the following six days. His cause of death is listed as myocardial infarction. He was buried at Oak Forest Cemetery on May 15, 1952.

In 1941, Mildred was the home care nurse for a patient named Dr. John Denis Eichelberger, a recently widowed chiropractor. Within a year, Mildred married John and they had a son together in 1942. They lived at the Eichelberger family home located at 121 Eiler, St Louis, Missouri. The following year, John died leaving Mildred to raise their young son.

Mildred married a DeVos sometime after this and went by this name for the remainder of her life. She died on May 5, 1987 and was buried at Lakewood Park Cemetery in St Louis County, Missouri on May 7, 1987.
Anna Pellerito was born on July 26, 1907. She was born in the home of her family located at 923 N. 7th Street in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the fourth child to parents Salvatore “Sam” Joseph Pellerito and Vita LoPiccolo.
In 1910, the family is renting a home at 934 North 7th Street, St Louis, Missouri, near the intersection of 7th street and Washington Street which the America’s Center Convention Center.
In 1920, the family lists their address as 935 7th Street which is most likely the same address as in 1910 and the street numbers have changed.

On February 17, 2003, Anna passed away leaving behind generations of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was buried at Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri with her husband Charles.

Salvatore “Sam” Joseph Pellerito was born on May 2, 1876 in Sicily, Italy. He was one of many children born to parents Joseph Pellerito and Grace Licavoli.
Sam married Vita LoPiccolo in 1900 in Sicily, Italy. Over the next seventeen years, they had nine children together:
Sam immigrated to America in 1901 through Castle Garden in New York. He sailed on the S.S. Washington from Napoli. They arrived in New York on May 16, 1901. He traveled with his father in law, Vincenzo LoPiccolo and other relatives heading to his brother in law’s, Pasquale LoPiccolo, who lived at 615 Franklin Avenue, St Louis, Missouri. Vita followed after Sam had found a place to live and opened his business as a fruit vendor using the twenty dollars that he brought with him when he immigrated.

In 1920, the family lists their address as 935 7th Street which is most likely the same address as in 1910 and the street numbers have changed. At this point, Sam and Vita have six children. In this census, they specifically list their place of birth as Sicily, Italy. Sam lists his occupation as a fruit vendor and that he owns his own business.
In 1930, the family is still living at the same address. Sam and Vita list their occupations as the proprietor and helper of a Fruit and Vegetable Store.
By 1940, the family is now living at 815 Washington Street which is also now the America’s Center Convention Center. It would appear that the family probably stayed at the same address the whole time and the street numbers merely changed. Living down the street from them is their daughter and son-in-law, Charles and Anna Scotino.
On March 29, 1956, Sam passed away at his home, listed as 816-A Cole Street, St. Louis, Missouri. The cause of death is listed as coronary thrombosis, arterial sclerotic CVR disease, and aurailin fibrillation. On April 2, 1956, Sam was buried at Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.
