Franz Wilhelm Clements was born on May 3, 1818 in Eppe, Waldeck-Frankenberg, Hessen, Germany. He was the only son of at least seven children born to parents Johannes B. Henry J. Clements was born April 16, 1855 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.  He was one of five children to parents Franz Wilhelm Clements and Margaret M. Deimund. On February 20, 1881, Henry married Wilhelmina “Mina” Lix in Bollinger, Missouri. They had ten children together. Franklin L. Clements was born on December 30, 1882 in Bollinger, Missouri.  He is one of the oldest of ten children to parents Henry J Clements and Wilhelmina “Mina” Lix. In the 1900 census, the family is living in Whitewater Township, Bollinger County, Missouri.  Franklin lists his occupation as a farm laborer. Heinrich Christoph “Christian” Friedrich Eggers was born on September 13, 1833 in Gadebusch Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany.  Geadebusch is about fifty miles southwest of Dummerstorf.  His parents were Juaquim Eggers and Sophia Strohkirch.
