Harry Henry Milton Eggers was born on August 22, 1913 in Dittmer, Missouri.  He was the oldest child of three to parents John Henry Eggers and Sophia “Sophie” I. Faehnle.  He was baptized on August 31, 1913 at St. Martin’s Church in Dittmer, MO. In the 1920 census, Harry is living with his parents on the Faehnle family farm at 216 Dittmer Road in Jefferson County, along with his grandmother, mother of Sophie Faehnle, Caroline Kraemer Faehnle.
