Sophia “Sophie” I. Faehnle was born on October 27, 1889 in Nebraska.  She was the second youngest of five children born to parents Gottfried “Godfrey” Frederick Faehnle and Caroline Sophia Kraemer. Sophie is found for the first time in records in 1910 in the federal census.
